Mrs. Esther Agyekum Anane Tabury is currently the Chairperson of the Berekum Are Teachers’ Co-operative Credit Union (BATCCU) Limited, a position she assumed since 2019. She previously served as a Board member of the Credit Union for four (4) years. Her core mandate as a Board Chairperson included but not limited to;
► Chairing meetings of the Board of Directors.
► Setting meeting agenda in conjunction with the Board Secretary.
► Managing and providing leadership to the Board of Directors.
► Acting as a direct liaison between the Board and Management, through the Manager. Mrs. Agyekum Anane Tabury has exhibited key qualities as a chairperson of the Credit Union. Her ability to chair meetings, understanding the business of the credit union, ability to influence others, without dominating, her strong personality and good communication has positioned her on top of the work. Mrs. Agyekum Anane Tabury is an educationist and currently the Deputy Head of the Human Resource Division of the Berekum Municipal Education Directorate since 2011. She is responsible for;
► Forecasting and declaration of vacancies for teachers and officers
► Upgrading and promotion of teachers and officers
► Granting leaves to both teachers and officers
► Compile teacher particulars for management
► Recruitment of teachers and officers
► Advice GES management on staff performance.
Mrs. Esther Agyekum Anane Tabury had her secondary education at Adonteng Secondary School at Aburi in the Eastern Region where she studied Business and was awarded the G.C.E. ‘O’ Level Certificate in 1992. She then proceeded to o the Agogo Presbyterian Women Training College to pursue ‘A’ 3-Year Post Secondary Education. She completed in 1997 and was awarded the certificate o teach as professional teacher. Mrs. Agyekum Anane Tabury holds Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy from the Sunyani Polytechnic now Sunyani Technical University. She was awarded the HND in 2003. She was awarded Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Cape Coast in 2009 and obtained her Masters Degree in Human Resource Management from the same university in 2019. She has a rich teaching experience having taught in the following institutions since 1997 when she graduated as a professional teacher from the Agogo Presbyterian Women Training College;

► Wamanafo Roman Catholic Primary School (1997 – 1999)

► Domfete Roman Catholic Junior High School (1999 – 2011).

Mrs. Agyekum Anane Tabury has held various leadership positions including but not limited to the following;

► Marriage Counsellor with the Assemblies of God Church in Berekum in the Bono Region.

►She was elected the Board Chairperson of the Berekum Area Teachers’ Co-operative Credit Union (BATCCU) Limited in 2020 having serve as a Board Member for four (4) years.

► Board member, BATCCU Ltd.

Mrs. Agyekum Anane Tabury has attended and participated in a number of workshops and conferences which included but not limited to;

► Rebranding workshop for Board of Directors and Management of Credit Unions.

► Intermediate Training for Board of Directors of Credit Unions.

► Strategic Thinking and Entrepreneurial Mindset for Credit Unions.

► Conference on Credit Management for Micro-finance institutions.

Mrs. Agyekum Anane Tabury’s vision is to contribute her quota in making the Credit Union a global brand. She has an indebt knowledge of the Credit Union structures and operations and this has been the driving force behind the success so far chocked under her leadership. She is a chief advocator of women empowerment and participation in Credit Union activities at all levels.
Mrs. Esther Agyekum Anane Tabury is married to Mr. Frank Anane Tabury and they blessed with two (2) girls.
Mrs. Agyekum Anane Tabury enjoys reading and listening to music during her leisure time.
