MR. KWADWO BERNASKO

PROFILE

Mr. Kwadwo Bernasko has been a member of the Board of Directors of the BEAT Co-operative Credit Union Limited since 2015. He currently holds the position of a Treasurer on the Board.

Born on 10th July, 1974 to Mr. Kwasi Tawiah and Madam Abena Tiwaa both of Seikwa in the Tain District of the Bono Region, Mr. Bernasko began his elementary education at Kofiase L/A Primary School at Mampong-Ashanti from 1980 to 1986. He then had his Junior High School education at Methodist Junior High School also at Mampong-Ashanti. He then proceeded to the Amanianpong Senior High School also at Mampong - Ashanti for his secondary education. Having completed his secondary education, Mr. Bernasko gained admission into Berekum Training College to be trained as a professional teacher in 1996. He was awarded the A-3 Year Post Secondary Certificate in 1999. He obtained his Diploma in Basic Edication from the University of Cape Coast in 2009. He again proceeded to the University of Education, Winneba where he studied and obtained the Bachelor of Education in Basic Education in 2012.

Mr. Kwadwo Bernasko is an educationist with a very rich experience, having taught in a number of schools within the Berekum Municipality and the Berekum West District. He rose through the ranks from a classroom teacher to his current position as the Headmaster of Jamdede/Adom Basic School in the Berekum West District of the Bono Region.

Mr. Bernasko is also the Trustee of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), Berekum. He has played an instrumental roles within the Credit Union establishment which includes;
  • 1. Preparation of annual budget estimates for the Credit Union.
  • 2. Review of conditions of service for staff of the Credit Union.
  • 3. Oversight responsibility on the Supervisory Committee of the Credit Union.
  • 4. BOD member assigned to protocol duties of the Union.

  • Mr. Kwadwo Bernasko is married to Madam Esther Acquah and they are blessed with four (4) lovely kids. They are all boys.
    In order to be abreast with modern trends of Credit Union operations, Mr. Bernasko has had the previlege to participate in a couple of workshop and seminars which includes;
  • 1. Training for Board of Directors of Credit Union, Kasoa, 2015.
  • 2. Training on Time Management, Accra, 2010.
  • 3. HIV/AID Workshop for Teachers as Agents of Dissemination and Change (TAD), nOVEMBER, 2007.
  • 4. Training Workshop for Teachers in ICT, Drobo, 2013
  • Mr. Kwadwo Bernasko has been an ambassador of the Credit Union for the past two decades. His desire to see the Credit Union developed is unquestionable. His contribution to the success story of the union is clear for all to recognised. Mr. Bernasko enjoys political debate and discussions during his leisure.
